Alicia, founder of Flourish Sussex Flower School, trained at some very famous flower schools & then opened up a wedding & events business which I ran for eight years, while having a few babies along the way. After baby number three, Alicia was desperate to get working in the industry again so she built a website, started teaching some evening workshops & that was it, Flourish was born.

From here she developed the two week practical career course & then an online business programme. I also started teaching seasonal workshops for flower enthusiasts. Alicia wanted to create a flower school that taught students to become floral designers. She wanted to bring the outdoors inside, build gardens, follow the seasons, teach with sustainable methods and help every student to find their style of floristry & build their dream business.

Based @pitfieldbarnflowers means students get to work with flowers that are growing just outside the studio doors and that is pure magic!
